RESOURCES

With so much information bombarding us from every angle regarding Islam, it is difficult to know what to believe and who to trust. Often, sensationalist media, radical/fanatical faith perspectives, and ever-present stereotypes pervade the messages given to us in our day to day lives. It is essential that we seek an honest, fair and just perspective about one another’s faith and commitments. The goal of the Resources, Basics of Islam, and News and Views sections of our website is to give you some resources to help you begin your journey to truthfully knowing and relating to ‘the other’.

For some, reading about and learning the basic history and structure of Islam is the first step toward building knowledge and respect for Muslim neighbors. Others might have daily interactions with Muslims which lead them to ask further questions and seek a deeper understanding of Islamic faith, as well as enhancing their own Christian tradition. We hope to provide a variety of tools and information here that will help you and the community around you establish healthy relationships.
